Goose Hunting Thin Ice has It's Rewards

This is from 2009. Dickie and I hunted this pond and he shot a snow goose that landed on 1/2 inch of ice 50 feet from the bank, two days later the ice was 2.5 inches thick but an Eagle had eaten the goose. I said to him, I can't believe you haven't checked the pile of feathers for a band and this is what happened.
